The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. -Psalm 34:18 Our hearts are broken today, thinking of all the hurt and pain. We cry with you. Our prayers are with those families who are deeply suffering today. We pray, “God, please comfort them in their pain. Surround them with your love and care. Surround each person helping with this to be full of your grace, wisdom and guidance. We need you so desperately, Jesus.” I can get utterly discouraged when I think of all the evil, hurt and pain in this world. But I take hope that if it's not good, it’s not the end of the story. Jesus one day will wipe all our tears from our faces, until then, we cry and pray and hold our loved ones close. Giving thanks for each and every moment becomes more of a reality today. Forgetting about the things that don’t matter, and holding onto dear ones in our lives and being even more conscience of spreading love and not hatred into this world in such desperate need of love.
