Want to know how we started this thing? Several days after we got married we became teachers together at the same school. And we also had the summers off together. A dream began to start a business together in the summer. But if you've ever taught you know how exhausting it is and we ended up needing most of the time to rest and catch up with friends and family we missed out on seeing because of the demanding teacher schedule. 2015/2016 was my last year teaching. Caleb and I worked our butts off last summer to put in motion the start of our company. We changed the second bedroom into a studio. We saved up to get a top of the line camera, computer & lenses. We paid for classes. We prayed a lot about our mission and name for our company. It was about this time last year that we looked up what our names meant and put them together for our company name. And also our mission. Our logo of the flower crown: at the bottom being thorns and the top being roses is what we try to focus on in our life and want to speak over others. We've both had so many disappointments and setbacks in our life, but we don't want those things to define us, those thorns or ashes so to speak. We want the beauty that God gives us as His children to define us. And want that hope for others as well. The people who have joined along with us and supported us thus far have seriously meant the world to us. We are husband & wife wedding photographers, relationship educators, writers and best friends. I've taken so many hours of photography classes and it's always been my passion. My Masters is in Marriage and Family Therapy & Caleb's Masters is in Education combining what we know and are passionate. A portion of proceeds is donated to help those in need.
