⁉️Do you ever feel overwhelmed during the holiday season? So many times I put so much pressure on myself to make everything as perfect as I can make it, that I’m not able to just stop and enjoy. 🎁Being present is the greatest gift and so I decided to do a lot of things different this year. It’s been a battle for me not to revert to my old ways and try to do it all, but I’m learning. I decided not to make homemade gifts this year, buying a lot less gifts, I’m not sending out Christmas cards. But it doesn’t mean I’m less excited for Christmas, or that I’m not thankful for all the amazing people in our life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I just want to focus on the real reason I’m so excited about Christmas. 🎄And that’s the fact that God didn’t want Heaven without us, so Jesus brought Heaven down (Him, Emmanuel: God with us). In the form of a baby. Our savior. To save us from the turmoil and anxiety within us. Our wonderful counselor. Everlasting Father (better than even the best father on earth). Prince of peace. To bring what our hearts have been searching for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
