Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! _____ I have a love/hate relationship with Valentine’s Day. I spent many of them very lonely. Got broken up with by my ex-fiancé one year (yes, on the actual day). I always fell a bit sad on any day that people might feel extra alone. But I wanted to remind each of you, that you’re so deeply loved, today and everyday. _____ “The shape of true love isn’t a diamond, it’s a cross.” Alicia Bruxvoort Each of us have the best expression of love given to us today and everyday. It doesn’t need to come in the shape of a flower, diamond or any material thing. We have someone that laid down their life down for us. There’s no greater love expressed than that. _____ “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” -John 15:12-13 _____ I’m so grateful to have my love for my Valentine this year and the last 5 years. We are planning on a quiet night at our place. We’ve been reminded lately that the gifts that really matter are ones we can’t see. “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” -2 Corinthians 4:18 _____ Social media can be filled with comparisons of all kinds. But so much of it doesn’t matter one bit. Instead of getting more stuff, lets give more love. Instead of longing for what we don’t have, let’s celebrate each other and be grateful for what we do have. _____ May your day be filled with the knowledge that you’re irrevocably, unconditionally unequivocally loved. _____ What are your thoughts on Valentine’s Day?
