🥰Is it weird that I still always get butterfly's around him? 🥰Walking around looking at beautiful lights last night hand in hand, flirting as if it was our first dates/first time falling in love. We still look at each other with a fresh love everyday, and I hope and pray that always continues. It’s been 5 1/2 year of marriage, we’ve gone through a lot of trials in our lives together. But we’ve decided to not let bitterness or unforgiveness take any place in our relationship. We choose and pray to see each other the way God sees us. Jesus has held our relationship together in times we were too weak o do so. We have a lot of boundaries we’e made to protect our relationship that ironically makes it so much more freeing. 🙏🏼Praying and working hard through the tough stuff. Words can’t describe how much I cherish my friendship (he’s the best friend I’ve always longed for) and love for this man. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was laying in bed the other night, couldn’t sleep because of how much love I had overflowing for him. It was like a movie 🎥 in my head recounting our first dates, our engagement, our wedding. Our relationship is far from perfect, we’ve had/have so much to learn. But we’re willing to learn it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Marriage is one of the greatest gifts 🎁 that God gives us here on earth. But unfortunately it’s also what is under the most attack because of how much broken marriages affect the individual & community. Helping people (and myself) cultivate healthy marriages (even if they are not yet married/dating, because I believe the work happens in advance as well) is one of the callings I feel put on my life.
