This is one of my favorite things about where we live. So many flowers! With all the rain last week some were falling down and looked so pretty, I collected some. 🌷The hillsides are so green right now and there was actually a ton of water coming down the waterfall we hiked to yesterday(last several years it's hardly a waterfall). Last week we were bundled up in our winter jackets and snow boots as we braved the 6 inch puddles on the streets for our daily walk. Caleb stepped through every deep puddle he could find and we delighted in the change of weather and the unusually occurrence of rain. Caleb and I love the rain are grateful for the hope of the end of our drought in California. And not just in California, but in our lives. There have been certain trials we have been facing that have made us rely on nothing but God and makes us praise Him in the droughts and plentiful seasons of life. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. -Habakkuk 3 This reminder that God is good in every season is one I’m holding close to my heart and reminding myself of as much as I can. Also makes me think that the rain and storms can produce growth and beauty, and I think can be the same for us if we let it. What do you think? We love to hear from you!
