Are you a beach or snow person?
Spending time at the beach is great. But we equally love the snow. Over Christmas we got to spend time in Pittsburgh (my hometown). There wasn’t much snow so one of the days we drove about 2 hours to Erie, PA where they had just gotten 5 feet of snow.
We got Starbucks twice because it was about 7 degrees outside. We walked around the adorable town with mounds of snow, some over Caleb’s head and he’s 6’5. We visit the lake and threw around some snow, and a park with quaint houses all around. We sang Christmas songs about snow as we walked around exploring the winter wonderland. And then drove through Presque Isle State Park which is usually a sandy peninsula that juts out into Lake Erie, but now covered in then covered in thick snow. We walked over a little bridge and went on one of the trails.
We had to jump back into our car many times to get our limbs warm again. We were so grateful for this sweet little adventure together.
