I spy honey bear, do you? The Pacific Ocean is around 35 min- 2 hours away depending on which beach we go to (of course it could be longer if we wanted to go further up or down the coast.) And we want to visit as many times as possible this summer. Caleb and I started dating & immediately made day trip adventures a major staple in our relationship. This past year we went on less adventures than ever before by a long shot. With our focus on serving our clients and putting in many very long work days, and shooting weddings or photoshoots on the weekends, our free time mostly consisted of us exhausted on the couch having no energy left. So this week (with Caleb on summer vaca from teaching) we’ve been trading on and off work days and fun days and have already had many amazing adventures. I’ve been SO excited to have Caleb around in the mornings that I’ve been waking him up at 6am (so much for sleeping in 😂) so excited for adventures with my love. Working together is amazing at times, but to be honest, we were both missing our fun-loving side of our relationship together. The business sides of us are a lot more serious, so many decisions, and sometimes disagreeing can weigh on us. My heart now feels so full. Connected with God, each other, nature and letting go of stress and worry while being present is something we desperately needed more of. We were the only ones on this beach for a while yesterday morning and enjoyed 🍯 🐻 chasing us around. Going on long walks on the beach, lunch at Ruby’s, and laying in the sand, laughing, singing and many times feeling like we didn’t have a care in the world which I haven’t felt in forever.
